With an expression overlay, only a sim’s irises/pupils will move. Without a pose and/or expression, it’ll play the Scope Room animation (duh), which is nice in itself for pics. Talk hack: super great for natural expressions, especially things from the Reaction section!Īikea’s painting: I use this for posing sometimes, but mostly I overuse the NL Gestures… Scope Room option. Example: in the first picture, Maria and Claire (left and right) are both using the Smile overlay, but Claire has the Neutral face overlaid over that, making her expression more subdued. The overlays can be combined with each other, giving more options. Modeling box: the poses are also nice, but for me the real meat of the box is the expression overlays.

His second pose is definitely a Maxis pose. So Maria and Claire started out with poses from Maypink boxes Hunter and Mary are posed with one of Yaremi’s couple poseboxes and I don’t quite remember Emilio’s original pose in the second picture, but I feel fairly sure it’s one of the Maxis poses from Uni adjusted with Deedee’s hand and arm poses. So, like for the pictures of my newly college-aged sims, I knew I wanted a cute, casual couple’s pose, some natural seated poses, and a waving pose and a lounging one for Emilio.
Generally I’ve got a vague picture in my head I’m trying to match poses up to. o:įirst, I go through my folder of pose previews to figure out what kind of poseboxes I wanna use (lately I like Maypink’s poseboxes a lot–they’re pretty natural-looking).
